Percadu

PercaDu is a world class Israeli percussion duo that, in a short time, has generated worldwide interest and enthusiasm in reaction to their unique style of virtuoso, energetic and intense playing. During 2009, they were featured soloists with the New York Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta, and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl.

On tours of Israel as well as Europe and the Far East, they have been featured with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Bavarian State Orchestra, and Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble. Venues have included the Israel Festival (three times), the Verbier Festival, Salzburg Festival, Reykjavik Arts Festival, TIPC Festival in Taiwan, Kaunass Jazz Festival, Red Sea Jazz Festival, and Introvert Music Festival.

PercaDu received First prize at the Percussive Arts Society International Competition; "Best Chamber Music Ensemble" at the Aviv Music Competition; the Jury Prize and Audience Prize at the International Percussion Competition, Luxembourg; Israel’s Minister of Culture Prize for Excellency in Music; and First Prize at the Tel-Aviv Academy of Music Chamber Music Competition, among others.

Tomer and Adi established PercaDu in 1996. Graduates of the soloist class of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen, they met in Alon Bor’s teaching studio. As they travel now, they enjoy presenting master classes in universities around the world. They recently presented a master class at The Juilliard School in New York.
